• Ultrasound workshop – $100.00
  Sunday morning ultrasound workshop 8 am - 12 pm noon.
  An introduction to ultrasound, how it works, and the physics of how ultrasound makes images using sound waves
  - How to use an ultrasound probe and hands on time scanning live models
  - Learn how to perform a vascular ultrasound for a deep venous thrombosis (DVT) and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA)
  - Learn how to ultrasound the lungs and evaluate for a pneumothorax, pleural effusion, pneumonia, and pulmonary edema
  - Learn how to ultrasound the heart and determine when a patient is in heart failure or has a pericardial effusion 
  - Learn how to perform a FAST exam (Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma), an ultrasound technique used for trauma patients
